Information Technology Solutions Ampersand provides four core IT services to its clients. These services apply to any systems engagement regardless of hardware platform, application complexity, or size. The delivery of these IT service is implemented by Ampersand's technical team and is led by an Ampersand Program Manager. Solution Planning The system requirements of our clients are complex, and the development and deployment of core systems often represent a large investment. We ensure that the systems we create help clients to achieve their strategic business and information objectives. Our services enable senior management to effectively plan mission-critical projects, and to successfully manage sourcing and implementation. Through our Consulting Services, we can provide Solution Planning for our clients. System Design Ampersand provides value-added services which define the system's features, functions, performance and architecture. Our services use the latest tools and methodologies, such as rapid application development, to "quick-start" the design and significantly compress the development time frame. These efforts typically serve as the foundation for subsequent work in the System Implementation phase. Our program team defines the technical design in sufficient detail to ensure that business, technology, and personnel requirements can be met. System Implementation This service involves the actual development and construction of the client's information solution. Specific activities include software development; interfacing to legacy systems; acquisition, staging, and integration of custom software with standard hardware and software components; testing and performance characterization; and installation and training at the client's site. System Support Ampersand provides production services to enhance and maintain our clients' deployed systems. We can resolve and diagnose problems quickly. In-depth knowledge of the client's system permits our staff to ensure that performance and future capacity issues are surfaced and planned for resolution. In addition, we have the technical skills to manage the client's data security issues and protect critical information assets. Ampersand's people provide these services through a rich set of technologies, tools, and experience and our ability to draw upon the company's diverse technical skills. Through our certification as a Microsoft Solutions Partner, we are helping our clients to plan and implement the migration of PC clients and mid-level servers to Windows NT. Due to our extensive knowledge of middleware and our in-depth experience in both UNIX and NT, we can help our customers plan and implement UNIX-to-NT migration strategies.
