Ampersand offers services that help our customers to define and plan comprehensive strategies for the application of information technology. Our value-added services include:

Operations strategy and planning Ampersand views Systems Architecture as the foundation for successful solutions delivery. The architectures we create include the definition of all system components, including databases, communication, and applications that are defined in a System Specification document. We will identify the critical interfaces between components as well as critical performance throttle-points to create the optimum solution for the customer's requirements.

Ampersand works closely with the customer's technical team to evaluate the existing technology, the impact of the proposed system architectures, and the proposed migration strategy. We then assist the customer to select, develop, deploy, and manage the new technology.

We have provided our consulting services to a wide range of commercial and government customers:

Interactive Media Group - for the planning of a major Computer Telephony infrastructure expansion
Sun Professional services - for an HP UNIX-to-Solaris port; and a tape storage array analysis
Eaton - architecture for robotic software for this semiconductor equipment manufacturer
USAF - combat intelligence and mission planning

Our new Java affiliate (Cetera, LLC) can provide Java-based application server architecture services, enabling legacy databases to be accessed and manipulated in innovative ways, across a range of platforms, to accelerate process and product development (e.g., in petrochemical and pharmaceutical companies).

Our consulting service establishes the system technology baseline. This enables the customer to implement a disciplined business process to select the preferred development partner. Ampersand is well-qualified to be that development partner.
