I’m not a big fan of writing posts that simply link other posts, but I’m getting ready to head down to next week’s Freedom to Connect conference and I felt this article by Robert Young in GigaOM captured a big part of the reason I am so passionate about the internet and the way it’s impacting us.

He’s talking about how movies are losing the relevance. He quotes an op-ed piece in the LA Times by Neal Gabler: “To the extent that the Internet is a niche machine, dividing its users into tiny, self-defined categories, it is providing a challenge to the movies that not even television did”
