A few days ago I blogged about Lavalife winning the CIPA award for Innovation for our VoIP project. Since then I’ve been getting lots of congratulatory emails from friends and colleagues, and I’ve also noticed that there’s been a bit of press coverage.
- First off, here’s an official press release from MTS Allstream who nominated us
- On the wire here
- Technology Wins in Search for Love — from Mediacaster Magazine
- and lots of pickup in the blogosphere including this nice congratulatory note from the Pulver Blog
Loren Hicks, Lavalife’s CIO, has done a wonderful job of responding to these inquiries and was instrumental in the project and in discussing it with interested journalists. (if you, gentle reader, are such a jounalist and would like to speak to Loren for an official statement I would be very happy to arrange it). Here’s a quote:
“The measure of a great relationship is how both parties head into the unknown. Over the course of our work with MTS Allstream, we have done a number of things that neither of us have done before and MTS Allstream responded as well or better than we could ever have expected,” said Loren Hicks, Chief Information Officer, Lavalife. “This is more than just a supplier/customer relationship; we see MTS Allstream as a real partner in our business, and look forward to having the company at our side as we tackle the next big projects.”
Loren’s been in other news recently with this article at newsfactor and the cover of Dec’s CIO Canada magazine.
