What I’ve been up to lately

Posted on Thursday 7 December 2006

It’s been awhile since I wrote here, I’ve been pretty busy lately. Here’s some cool tech stuff I’ve been playing with:

  • An install of mythTv, to finally switch the home over to linux based video management goodness. Thanks much to Axel for his binary rpms, already upgraded to Fedora Core 6
  • 4 new bare metal computer builds for the family, including a sweet gaming rig for virtual world research. It’s pretty too, I will get a picture posted soon.
  • Switching my laptop and workstation over to Ubuntu 6.10
  • Messing about with Asterisk 1.4
  • Working on an opensource software package with Asterisk, more details to follow
  • Levelling my 45 Priest in WoW, and getting to know some fellow We Know guildies (although the 2.0.1 patch last night obsoleted my cherished ClickHeal mod, and I’m pretty helpless without it until I do a major retool of my UI strategy)
  • The never ending professional activities. Some big news is coming on this front, but more on that later.

My attention to STJ has suffered with this overload of computer hacking. But hey, it’s a blog. You write when you want, you don’t write when you’re busy — that’s the deal right?
