FCC tells Logan airport to allow competitive wifi

Posted on Thursday 2 November 2006

Boston residents rejoice, the FCC ruled yesterday that Massport can’t restrict wifi services at Logan airport. I love that the FCC commissioners “blasted airport officials for raising bogus legal and technological arguments.”

I’ve written before about Massports attempt to create a high priced monopoly for wifi service at Logan. Now all we need is for some of the airlines to decide to put up free hotspots. Are you listening Air Canada and United?
