Steve interviewed on PPN

Posted on Sunday 12 March 2006

Your humble narrator had fun a couple weeks ago being interviewed on Pulvermedia Podcast Network. Here’s the brief description:

Jeff Pulver sat down and had a chat with Steve Smith, Chief Scientist at Lavalife, about the state of IP communications as they pertain to things like online dating and gaming, and where they might head next.

The podcast highlights some of the topics I will be speaking about at Spring VON.

It was neat to see PulverMedia’s global headquarters. One of the things I admire about Jeff is his passion for technology, IP communications, and music. He is always experimenting, always trying new things, always trying to spark innovation often without requiring a sense of financial return. He’s got a great studio that is home to PulverRadio but now also serves double duty as the infrastructure for the Podcast Network. Jeff, Carl, Laura, and Mikey have been doing a great job with getting podcast interviews with many industry figures, and they have podcast columnists in Tom Evslin, Jon Arnold and others. And, rumors have it that video and ipTV are not far behind …
