Lunch Date, iDate, and free wifi

Posted on Wednesday 1 February 2006

I came down to Manhattan this morning for some business and lunch with Alan. We extended our seies of the leisurely Italian pranzo at Lupa and found it quite good. On the Roman friends news front, Diane’s been getting some great exposure with her photography including the Jan 2006 cover of the American — congrats Diane and what beautiful photos! There was a table of Spaniards next to us, and Alan recognized Baltazar Garzon of Spain (or so we convinced ourselves anyway), prosecutor of Pinochet and linked here probing into Italy bad boy Berlusconi. Git him, Baltazar.

I’m now happily enjoying Jet Blue’s free wifi at JFK (Logan Airport you are so lame), and in half an hour head down to Miami to iDate. Lots of interesting stuff going on this year, and I have one or two specific meetings to attend. But, I’m hoping to keep a low profile — I think this could easily turn into a vendor feeding frenzy. If you’re down there and happen to read this, drop me a note and I’d be happy to get together.
