IP Communications Executive Summit

Posted on Monday 16 January 2006

The afternoon sessions here at the IP Communications Executive Summit have been great. We’re a group of about 40 - 50, mostly C-level senior people, and generally just one rep from each company. The ground rules are:

  1. Raise your hand to speak (mostly adhered to)
  2. No product pitches!

People have really gotten into the spirit, and have basically checked their corporate identites at the door. We’ve been having a fantastic far-ranging discussion from two-tiered internet, to peering, to security, to net neutrality, to Skype, to APAC / China networks. It’s a really rich dialog, with a great variety of backgrounds and points of view all contributing in. Sessions still to come include Presence, Voip Around the World.

Oh, and we have wifi so I’ll blog a few more specific points as they occur.

    Steve,

It was great to have you at the event. You added great perspective to the conversations. Lunch is on me. Let me know when…
