Back from (messed up) Vacation

Posted on Wednesday 31 August 2005

I had a nice time off last week, even though my vacation start was delayed by a 48-hour-thunderstorm-inspired flight holdover in Toronto, and my hike in the White Mountains had less-than-ideal weather. In spite of these minor irritations, it was very nice to take a week away from work and technology and to spend it with my family.

One of these days I’ll spend the few minutes (which is I’m sure all it would take), to work through the process of uploading some photos and linking them to this blog page, at which point I can post a pic or two from when I’m off doing something fun.

I’m spending a lot of time these days thinking about what the telecommunications and internet might look like 10 years out. I am editing some of these thoughts into a presentable format, and hope to post some of my opinions / hypotheses / scenarios soon.
