Attending some VoIP events

Posted on Tuesday 19 July 2005

I’ve been crushed in the office, on a lot of critical projects lately. But, tomorrow I’ll be heading down to Washington, DC for some VoIP related events.

First off, on Thursday morning I’ll be attending an event at the National Press Club titled Key Lawmakers to talk VoIP Safety and Security. The event is sponsered by the ITAA and the VON Coalition, and features John Sununu, Chip Pickering, and also Henning Schulzerinne, and has the time split about evenly between VoIP security issues and E911 issues.

Later Thursday I am delighted to be able to help respresent the Global IP Alliance at it’s “coming out” party. We’ll be releasing some reports, hosting a reception, holding a press conference, and meeting with the FCC. More on all of this later, after it’s official.

If any of my blog readers will be in DC this Thursday, and would like to attend some of these activities, drop me a line and I’ll see what I can do.
