Brough Turner (first name pronounced “Bruff”) is one of the people I look up to as a role model. He is cofounder and CTO of NMS Communications, and also a passionate promoter of communications beyond the scope of his own corporate interest. He has been unfailingly generous on a personal level, introducing me into a circle of interesting people, and sharing ideas, references, and thoughts about technology. He is a noted commentator and forward thinker on the communications industry, and is a frequent, speaker, panelist, and author of publications and columns. Indirectly Brough is responsible for my blog, in that he introduced me to bloglines (was it only January this year?)
So, I take great delight in telling the world (well, my small readership), that Brough has launched his blog. Here’s the charter.
Hmmm, this raises of the dilemma of where to list it on my blogroll. VoIP? Naah, he will comment more broadly than that. Friend? Yes, certainly, but he has intellectual scope in my taxonomy so deserves public placement. Respected Telecom Elder? Hmmm, not that old, could take offense, (note to self: this is a dangerous category). I know, he promises to be reasonably low volume, I know he will be well thought out … Brough, you are on my “Must Read List”.
