The last few days have been busy, as I’ve been preparing for a fairly intense period of travel. Tomorrow AM bright and early I am heading out to San Jose for Jeff Pulver’s Spring VON show. I get back for one day the end of next week, then head directly to CTIA and then Toronto. After one more day at home I cap it off with a weekend dog mushing trip with my youngest daughter.
The folks at pulver.com are billing this as the biggest ever VON show, and supposedly there will be lots of product annoucements. I myself have a fairly full meeting schedule, and confirmed appointments with a number of carriers and vendors relevant to some of my current engagements. I think every bfast / lunch / dinner is booked through Thursday. I’m taking my running shoes so as to offset all this.
I’m hoping to blog once a day, my plan is to list the top three things I learned that day. We’ll see if I can stick to that goal.
Lastly, I am trying a new unified messaging system based upon VoIP and a MVNO over this next period. The service is from the folks at Proximiti, and looks to be a really clever way to combine VoIP landline economics, with integrated cell/mobile phones, and web configuration and access to features. It’s going to be a real-world test the next week. I will report on it when I have some experience under my belt and an opinion to offer.
